This study aims to analyze the influence of investment, government capital expenditure, and economic growth on road infrastructure development in South Sulawesi Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with panel data in four regions, namely Makassar, Gowa, Maros, and Takalar during the period 2018–2024. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and related government agencies. The analytical method used is panel data regression with Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests to determine the best model. The results show that investment and capital expenditure have a positive and significant effect on road infrastructure development in South Sulawesi Province. Meanwhile, economic growth has no effect on road infrastructure development. These findings indicate that in addition to fiscal capacity, governance quality, regional characteristics, and policy effectiveness play an important role in accelerating infrastructure development.
