Abstract

The research objectives are to (1) determine and analyze the influence of transformational leadership style on work engagement; (2) determine and analyze the influence of organizational climate on work engagement; and (3) determine and analyze the effect of work engagement on job crafting. The study population consisted of all employees of Bank Central Java KCPS Kudus, totaling 30 people, using a saturated or census sampling technique. This study used SPSS version 25 as the analysis tool, and the type of data used was qualitative data obtained from questionnaires, where respondents’ answers were given scores (values) so that they became quantitative data. Field observations were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, with the regression equation Y = 10.782 - 0.294X1 + 0.467X2 + 0.782X3. The results showed that transformational leadership style affects work engagement, organizational climate affects work engagement, and work engagement significantly affects job crafting by 49.9%, while the remaining 50.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Based on these results, bank leaders are advised to further enhance the implementation of transformational leadership style by being more open (transparent), receptive to constructive input and criticism from subordinates, acting as role models for employees, paying attention to problems related to organizational change, and encouraging employees to create creative and innovative ideas as a symbol of success.
