Fenomena Turnover Intention Pada Generasi Z Dalam Revolusi Industri 5.0
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing turnover intention among Generation Z in the context of the
Industrial Revolution 5.0. The research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected through
questionnaires distributed via Google Form. The sampling technique applied is non-probability sampling with
a purposive sampling method, involving 96 Generation Z respondents working in Jepara City with a minimum
tenure of six months across various sectors. Hypothesis testing was conducted using multiple linear regression
analysis. The findings reveal that, partially, transformational leadership and work-life balance have a
significant negative effect on turnover intention, while job stress has a significant positive effect.
Simultaneously, the three variables—transformational leadership, work-life balance, and job stress—were
proven to have a significant influence on turnover intention. These results highlight the crucial role of
transformational leadership and work-life balance in reducing turnover intention, as well as the importance
of managing job stress to sustain Generation Z’s workforce in the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. This
study provides practical implications for organizations in addressing workplace transformation in the Industry
5.0 era. Organizations need to strengthen transformational leadership that is adaptive to digital technologies,
implement more flexible work-life balance policies, and develop technology-based job stress management
programs, such as online counseling services, employee assistance programs, and output-based working
systems, to enhance the retention of Generation Z employees.
