Abstract

This research seeks to explore the fundraising strategies employed by Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) in Southeast Sulawesi through the application of the Business Model Canvas approach adapted into the Social Enterprise Model Canvas framework, known as the Zakat Utilization Model Canvas (ZUMC). The study focuses on two institutions, namely Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) and Wahdah Inspirasi Zakat (WIZ), using a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that strategic partnerships with government institutions such as Baznas and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, as well as private entities including PLN and Telkomsel, play an important role in improving the effectiveness of zakat fundraising. Furthermore, the diversification of funding sources and the utilization of digital technology have expanded outreach and enhanced transparency in zakat distribution. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening collaboration among government, private, and community sectors in zakat management to achieve more effective and efficient distribution, while the adoption of digital technologies contributes to broader accessibility, increased transparency, and greater public trust and participation.
