Abstract

This research aims to provide relevant information to stakeholders regarding the factors influencing digital payment usage decisions within the academic community of Labuhanbatu University. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed via Google Forms to 150 active university students. Data analysis is conducted using SmartPLS version 4.0 to examine the proposed research model. The findings indicate that consumer motivation and consumer perception do not have a significant influence on digital payment usage decisions among the Labuhanbatu University academic community. In contrast, consumer behavior is found to have a strong and significant effect on digital payment usage decisions. These results suggest that behavioral factors play a more crucial role in determining digital payment adoption compared to motivation and perception factors among university students.
