The Effect of Self-Efficacy and Training on Employee Performance with Organizational Commitment as a Mediating Variable at PT. Phapros Tbk, Central Java and Yogyakarta Region

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy and training on employee performance, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable at PT Phapros Tbk Central Java–DIY Branch. The study employs a quantitative approach, with employees as the research population selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were processed and analyzed using SPSS. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that self-efficacy and training have positive and significant effects on organizational commitment. Furthermore, organizational commitment positively and significantly influences employee performance. Self-efficacy and training also have direct positive and significant effects on employee performance. The mediation analysis using the Sobel test reveals that organizational commitment successfully mediates the relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance, as well as the relationship between training and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing employees’ confidence, providing effective training programs, and strengthening organizational commitment to improve overall employee performance.
