Analysis of Variables Affecting the Income of Traders in Carangsari Traditional Market, Petang District, Badung Regency

This study aims to analyze the influence of capital, working hours, labor, and education level on the income of traders at Carangsari Traditional Market in Petang District, Badung Regency. Carangsari Market is one of the major traditional trading centers in the area, attracting both local traders and traders from surrounding regions, with continuous trading activities from morning until afternoon. This study employs a quantitative approach with a sample of 56 traders selected as respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to test the proposed hypotheses. The results indicate that capital, working hours, labor, and education level each have a positive and significant effect on traders’ income. Furthermore, these variables simultaneously have a significant influence on the income of traders at Carangsari Traditional Market. These findings suggest that adequate business resources, longer operational hours, sufficient labor, and higher educational attainment contribute to improving the economic performance and income levels of traditional market traders.
